Questions and Answers
How can I become a member?
That is easy, just sign-up and pay the $10 a year membership, which is required to participate in the camp out event (s).
What is it like at Leatherwoods?
You will find that Leatherwoods is pretty laid back and fun. There are general workshops and/or classes that you can attend if you like. There is a wonderful camping area, an outdoor dungeon, a vendor area, an indoor(ish) workshop area, a general gathering area and lots of people to hang around with.
Are there bathrooms and showers?
Throughout the camp site, there are clean porta-potties. There will be potable water in marked spigots throughout the site.
I have a camper, RV, pop-up trailer. Can I camp in it?
There are no "hook ups" for RVs and the like, however, there are a few spots that would be large enough to suit.
I have a ton of dungeon furniture. Can I bring it all with me?
There is a great dungeon already available to use. If you have a piece or two of furniture you would like to bring, feel free. Even more fun if you could share it in the dungeon during the weekend. We feel that the dungeon is a part of the social experience and fun, so if you have more than a piece or two that you would like to bring, please coordinate that with one of the event coordinators before bringing your stuff.
How many people attend?
There are usually between 50 - 100 people registered each year.
Can I sleep in my car?
We would prefer you use a camper or tent. Most vehicles need to be parked in the designated parking areas. If you have a vehicle that was designed to be used for camping, make sure to coordinate where you can park when you sign in.
I have a special medical need.
Send specific questions about disabilities to the registration email address on the web site. Most people with disabilities have been accommodated but it is a good idea to double check that your needs can be met at the camp site.
Can I bring my pet?
Except for registered service animals, the answer is no. Again, for those bringing service animals, make sure to coordinate with the registration team to make sure your needs can be met.
